Don't worry about the blood! None got on the car & other tid-bits
I'm here to tell you "that" smart! Got the rear end installed, oh it's nice, but in the process of working in the wide open area of the FIA center section I found a rather sharp edge of a crossmember. Not to worry! Didn't need that portion of the pinkie finger anyway, and certainly didn't need that pint or two of blood I lost. Blood pressure was to high anyway!
Don't worry about the stain on the floor, it just blends in with all the paint over spray. If you make it to the shop, it's hardly even noticeable!
The good news is, not a drop of blood on the car!
Other news; raffle tickets are really picking up! Now you'll just have to buy more to keep your odds up
The motor is close to firing and this is exciting. Bled the McLeod hydraulic bearing today, took less than 3 seconds after opening up the "BLEEDER" valve, (wish I had had a bleeder valve earlier ) and the clutch was working!
Columbus Police Dept. is supplying at least twice as many Motorcycle Cops as last year. THIS IS NEW SO PLEASE, YOUR FULL ATTENTION! We're going to the far west side of Columbus this year - independently-and gather up at a shopping center called "Great Western." It's right on the city limits. We will then pull out of the shopping center-two wide for the full Police escort!
Lights on people! An absolute must for all our Police escorted runs...LIGHTS ON!
Not to worry and everything will be in the packets. The shopping center is a straight shot from the Airport.
Did I tell you Jenny's KMP FIA is almost ready to fire up? If we get the missing parts soon enough we could be driving it, or rather testing it by the end of next week!
VERY IMPORTANT ! If you haven't registered please do it soon! We don't want anyone missing out on the ID cards. We are going to have to cut these off by June 12! If you register after that, you will get to enjoy all the events, but you might get delayed entering some of the activities.
Don't forget Friday night! The buses will start the shuttling at 5 PM sharp. The party will actually start at 6PM, well maybe 5:30, OK, maybe 5 Remember to bring your own "brown paper bag" and don't forget that Columbus's Finest will be on duty all night long protecting all those sleeping snakes!
OK, it's late, tomorrow is another work day. Alternator, shifter, boot and ring, windshield, start the wiring.....

DV,
So sorry to hear of the wrenching mishap. I will show you my bruised/demolished fingernail from my recent tuning endeavor. So happy you have pulled off another one!! Do you think I can go from a roller to complete car in 5 days and keep my regular job?

Toycollector,
Sure you can, assuming you can find a nice private and quiet closet to grab a little shut eye in!
Mr. Mustang, not to fret Sir, YOU have helped enough already! All we're missing now is some hard-core special parts, i.e., rear calipers, 4 shocks, and an emergency brake handle. David is frantically working on the Calipers and shocks trying to get the company's to donate them for us. (These are rather pricey as you can imagine.) The shocks that Kirkham's use are Penske and I believe the calipers are Wildwood. (Only the best for a KMP car of course!)
As far as the brake handle goes, we're trying to decide whether to use the side tunnel type handle or go for the center tunnel handle. Either one will take a little fabrication but certainly nothing we can't take care of!
What's your thoughts on that one? OH, while I'm thinking of it, we can't use that large beautiful new shiny air cleaner you supplied. With the MSD distributor being as big as it is, it's the ol' air cleaner to plug wire interference problem. Might get the old black round "Cobra" air cleaner instead with a smaller diameter.
Or we could just go with a smaller round chrome air cleaner too. ???
Looking forward to today's progress!
DV...Man, I really like working on this car!

DV,
If you cannot get the calipers before the DVSF, let me know the part #'s, and I'll see what I can come up with...perhaps a call to Wilwood would be the best thing........Point them towards the DVSF website and go from there. As for the air cleaner, you can always use the 90 degree boots, coupled with a small air cleaner spacer to make it work properly..............

Meetings with OSU yesterday. Went to the Airport. Went to a private business just down from the Airport to secure parking for the hundreds of civilians that are coming to watch and ride for Jenny.
Mr. Mustang, we've got the 90' boots and it just barely hits them. Don't have a proper spacer, but will take a look for one! If I could only pry the part numbers out of David!
George went to Jegs for some A.R.E. fittings so I could get the "Puke Tank" and overflow all hooked up today! I know, A.R.E. fittings aren't quite date correct, but neither is the remote oil filter AN lines, etc., etc. but, they do look cool! Ahh, speaking of oil, just found out the oil pressure guage doesn't have a line hooked up!
Back to Jegs for a mechanical oil line installation kit. Radiator hoses , upper and lower now all hooked up.
Started the wiring today, mounting the MSD 7 box.
Time for a cookie!
DV...Damn, this IS fun! Are YOU packed yet?

DV,
The folks at Mr Gasket make the spacer for the top of the carb to the bottom of the air cleaner. I'll get one out for you on Monday.Just let me know how the current hood clearance is with the air filter I sent you, so I get you the proper spacing........

Mr. Mustang,
1/4" spacer would work just fine! (Gpt a lot more done today on Jenny's FIA. Alternator is being a PIA but it's coming!
Ernie..believe it or not, the "DV" fired up today! WOW, maybe I will have a Cobra for at least the III ! It will be an honor Sir, if there is no one here to pick up your ID card, to carry it with me through out the Fling!
DV...If you haven't registered and you are coming PLEASE REGISTER! We've only got a few more days to make the deadline for the ID cards!

DV,
The air cleaner spacer is on it's way. UPS tracking number is 1Z0684100310123882
This spacer should work just fine, and still give you the clearnace you need for the hood.
Sincerely,
Bill S.

Parking brake handle, 1987 - 1993 mustang. Mounts flat and is on Ebay for $5.00
Just a thought.
Ernie, start driving now, you may make it across the Pacific by the time this starts. LOL
