Question Host Hotel??

So which hotel is the host hotel, and how far is it from the FAIRFIELD INN (COLUMBUS WEST)???? Is there going to be security at this hotel as well???? Or do I need to park my rig somewhere else during the weekend trip out?????? Figured I would ask now.............

Bill and all those that are coming for the first time:
The Fairfield, Hampton, CrossCountry and Day's in are all basically in the same parking lot, sharing the same drives.

We will be using the Hampton as our staging area,"Bus" pick up for the party Friday night, packet distribution, etc.

YES, the same Columbus Police Officer that has worked the Fling for the last two years will be on duty, in uniform, all night. This year he will be starting around 5 PM though, as everyone loads the buses. How ever, for this year since there is such a huge "record breaking" amount of Cobras coming there will be TWO of Columbus's finest on duty Friday and Saturday nights.

More on trailer parking etc., tonight at 11! Stay tuned.

Ron,

I think (?) the one you labled "Days Inn" is the Hampton.

Then, from left to right .... that neat resturant, then the Cross Country, then the Fair Field and then the new Days Inn

How about one of our Columbus members setting us straight.

The square building to the right of the Fairfield is the Cracker Barrel restaurant, as I remember.

You may be right as to the Days Inn vs Hampton Inn...

It may be the cracker barrel Ron..... I never got to that side of the Fairfield to see it I was just going on the idea that the Days Inn was new..... and there is nothing in the photo that shows anything "big" other than that building. The photo can't be much more than a year old I would guess...... but there I go guessing again

I don't know how I missed this one. Sometimes the forum misses "new threads" when I log in.

Ron that is a great shot! However, the Days Inn hadn't been built when that picture was taken! It is the Hampton that you have mistakenly marked.

HAMPTON: Is where you will be able to pick up your packets starting late Thursday night and early Friday morning. At least until we all start to move, then they will follow us to all the events.

The HAMPTON is also where the buses will leave from for the Party at the Lodge Friday night. Remember...we have not just one this year but TWO of Columbus' best on duty all night.

Explanation for having two Officers on Duty this year: Since we now have grown to over 5 hotels, expanding to the South side of the Freeway as well, we thought that it was just to big an area for one Officer to keep an eye on.

DV...I can feel it. Can you?
