DVSF IV update 3-29
The DVSF IV is progressing nicely. Tom will have the website updated within the next few days.
Registration will be open shortly. The fee will be the same as last year, $100.00. This will cover a family or group of four. PLEASE have FULL names of everyone you are bringing. We will need this for those really nifty name tags, which will be required to participate in all the events.
For the next few weeks the web site will be a little lacking while the DVSF agenda is finalized. New hotel information will posted ASAP. as well as our new and improved agenda.
Prep your cars, convince the wife that this is a really great family event, and most importantly make sure you get some rest before our weekend!
You think you put some miles on your Cobras at the last Flings...you aint seen nuthin' yet!
DV..."WE" will do this,we ARE family!
P.s. As always, if you have a problem with the fee, e-mail me directly. NO one will be left behind! DV@columbus.rr.com

I know the Hampton and Fairfield are the same. Even though I don't think the Cross Country is being 'officially' promoted I know there are some folks that are booking there any ways. There was some talk about hotels across the road but the main complex is the same one as last year.
I had faith in our men in blue, I never cancelled my hotel reservations!
Ready or not London, here we come!!!!!!!!

DV Jr. will be posting within the next 24 hours on the new hotels.
We ARE still using the Hampton and Fairfield.
Gotta run!
DV....Jr. said the Hampton as of this morning only had SIX rooms left. Wow, I don't think anyone cancelled their rooms

The Cross Country is now under new management, so the issues of last year are probably moot now.
Not to mention ..... that's where the "action" is

Personnally I really like the layout of the cross country with the outdoor balconies around the 'courtyard'. Thought of booking there. But choose not to since the number of people who would seemed questionable.

Jim a quick note, Cross Country has changed local hands three times since the last Fling....they are in the process -today- of changing hands again.
Just so you know

Just got a room at the Fairfield Inn.
DV, is there going to be an auction again this year?
Any company contribute a car for the raffle? (Raffle a GT40 and I'll but a LOT of tickets!)

Petek,
I was hoping no one would ask about our now traditional raffle.
We're working on it, that's about all I can say for now.

Lovely.... just lovely
Well, I hope they honor all the reservations that "who ever they were" made a few months ago, or else a lot of the CACC guys will be moving into your place Ed
I hope the local number is still good. I'll check with them later this week to see "who's on first"
Thanks for the heads up.

Wow, it is almost here.
Any word on the DVD from last year's event? Gotta have a copy. Will they be on sale at the DVSF IV event or is it order now, pick up later, or ????
Don't worry about these ???s now, if it is still being sorted out. I have the patience of a good doctor.

The DVD that Weendoggy has put together is, well it's just amazing! One problem; over many, many attempts, the DVD keeps freezing up. Some guys have them and have never had a problem. The major problem is, every one that I have gotten still freezes on any machine we run it on.
Now, as of today no less, Glenn is sending me a digital tape which I will in turn have copied to DVD here locally by a professional company.
Hopefully they will be for sale soon on the DVSF web site, and we will also have them at this years Fling.
RAFFLE UPDATE: I aint telling you nuthin' yet, but I think, hope and pray what I am attempting to do will work and that ALL of you will like our decision. I should know something by noon tomorrow and will post it tomorrow evening.
DV....If you come--you WILL come back!

When is DVSF IV?
Where is DVSF IV?
I've looked all over this site and cannot find this information anywhere. The dvsf.com and cobras.com websites do not work.
Thanks.

We're testing the event registration today. If you want to try it, please DO NOT use a real credit card number in the payment section. (The system is in test mode, so it will not actually post a transaction) You can use MasterCard - 5424000000000015 or VISA - 4007000000027 with 06/2004 as the expiration date and a 123 for the Security Code.
