Ed and family,
My prayers are with you. I hope Wendy recovers fully, I believe the mind can heal as well. I am looking forward to Wendy taking my Spyder for a spin this year, just like she did in the old 'beater' Cobra last year!
We are all praying for a speedy recovery and the best care for her.
May God be with you all,
John Spina

Ed,
I have never had the pleasure of meeting you and your family as every year when I plan to come to the Fling, something seems to come up. But for all the great and good things you have did, I am sure that God is going to help in this. Having lost three very close relatives in the past year to this stuff, I just haven't really known what to say, but you and all of your family are in my prayers. Take care, don't ever give up, and no matter what the final out come, it will all work out. Best wishes and I know it is hard to do, but try to have a Merry Christmas.

Ed,
We went through this two years ago with one of our 31 year old twin daughters. It wasn't until she blacked out driving that they finally got her in and got her diagnosed correctly. They do amazing things now days and she is completely recovered and going happily about her life. Please give Wendy our best wishes and hopes for a quick recovery.

Wendy went home yesterday. First stop was to get a hat! Very weak, but in great spirits. She has a long way to go before this is over. Radiation starts in a short time, after that we'll just have to wait and see. She most likely has another major surgery in her future if they decide to remove the rest of the tumor. Waiting two weeks for the Mayo report will be tough.
Godzilla: Thank you so much for the lead. I did immediately research "Duke" and they are full of positive information. Trust that I will follow through with them if there is even so much as a hiccup along the way.
It is disheartening when one of the top Neurosurgeons, from the 5th largest hospital in the country tells you, 'we just aren't sure'. Seems her tumor is not your basic run of the mill tumor.
I will post an address later today. I'd love to give you her home address, but it seems her wonderful husband has decided to actually buy them a house for Christmas. Note-They have been apartment bound since marriage, saving enough money to get the home they want. John, her husband decided last week that they had waited long enough. Talk about a fast moving story! DV Jr. jumps in with both feet, having a brief back ground as financial advisor, and having contacts in the world of realtors, in less than an hour he had the loan officer and a realtor set up to meet John at the hospital!
Done! Simply done. Now all Wendy has to do is pick out her house and move! It's a Christmas surprise for Wendy, as she doesn't even know yet
To each and every one of you...thanks for the prayers.
And John...fella you brought tears to these eyes. Those were better times, and it sure makes looking forward to them again a lot easier.
DV...I hope and pray each and every one of you have a Merry Christmas

All the best to you again, Ed; and Wendy and your families. It looks like you are both surrounded by good people and that alone will go a long way towards helping ensure the best possible outcome. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ed, after all the good that your family has done for the wider Cobra family, what can we now do in return? Wendy and your family is in our thoughts from abroad.
I'll be checking back here often for some positive developments over the coming weeks.

Ed,
Sorry to hear that you and your family are going through such a tough time. Please let Wendy know that she is in the prayers of those of us at the London Fire Department. Perhaps you can e-mail me a shipping address and we could send her a little care package from us. Until then, we are counting the days until June.
You can e-mail me at lfd-chief@sbcglobal.net
