Unhappy Some bad news - some good news

For those that have called, for those that have e-mailed, thank you. For those that haven't heard yet, Miss. DV, Wendy, is -OK. Not great but better than expected. I think it was last Sunday night, early Monday morning, after the third trip, she was finally admitted into the hospital, being sent home three times with the take two aspirin and call me in the morning routine. (Lot more here, but this is the gist of it all.)

Finally, one Dr. ordered a cat scan and found a large mass over her right temple. An MRI was ordered and confirmed she had a very large tumor. After a 24 hour time frame to bring down the swelling, Wendy underwent brain surgery. We were told right up front that there was no way that they could get it all in one operation.

As of this morning, 12-20 she has shown vast improvements over the last 7 days. She is still in ICU and is receiving fantastic care. The full tests have not been released yet, hopefully today we will know what her future holds.

Sorry to post such news, especially with everything else going on, on the board, but this is the only way I knew how to reach all of you. The Mrs. and I haven't been home now in a week and my access to the internet is not easy.

Thank you for your wonderfull support and I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Ed 'DV' Combs and family......"WE are family!"

Hey DV,

Give Wendy our best and tell her we are all sending maximum "white light" to speed her recovery!

May the holidays bring your whole family the best possible outcome.

Best regards to all,

Tom & Kay

Geez Ed,

Sorry to hear the bad news. My prayers are with you and Wendy. Hope Wendy gets well and back to her old self quickly -- sorry that's just an expression didn't mean to imply she was old. :-)

Is there a hospital address where we can send her a little something to brighten her day a little? I know that she probably will not get it in PICU, but maybe in recovery??

Ed,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Wendy and all your family. You know--if there's anything we can do...your cobra family will help in any way we can. Just let someone know if there's a need that we can help with.
