Amen toll collector! That's about the best I've seen it said. This is just flat out for fun. It should be in one spot and we should all have a great time. Period. Why do you think I ask you to help with the Revolution?? You've got the right idea. It's such an easy concept.

Now who would ever have guessed that you like to BS!
As for Sandy...why do you think I suggested YOU call her?!
And as for your suggested events....Once again, you come through with flying colors (not rainbow as mud hopper inferred)!
I enjoy the poker runs on open roads, but thru the city blows! Although watching the looks on peoples faces was fun last year!
Beer tent...Yeppers! Do they make a blue Sapphire Tent?
Showing them off in a very public place (and I hope you meant the cars) a must have!
Cheers

C'mon Mike, admit it. It was fun watching just how many Cobras blew the red lights through some of those inner city neighborhoods. Hell, I was thinkin' 'bout making some of our run through downtown Trenton. First one out alive wins!! Guess we could say that for anywhere in Jersey for that matter.....
Jack,
We may not know much... ...but we know we're going to have a great time getting together. As I've said in planning our clubs event, it's the old K.I.S.S philosophy. Yes, this is a big gathering, and yes I have no doubt it's going to take a lot of very hard work. But my humble suggestion is to make it "Cobra-centric", give us stuff to do with our cars. Drive, show them, etc... and the rest will take care of itself (well.....some of us will get some help from a bottle or two.....

Some of us got separated from the group last year in Columbus in one of those inner-city neighborhoods and didn't know where to go, so we shut off our engines and listened for the thunder of the rest of the cobras, then we started up and caught up to them. The only fun part about the poker run through the city is revving the engines in the tunnels or under the bridges.

Excaliper, well- stated posts
BluCobra05- yes, I agree, racing through a big city such as Cleveland concerns me too-the thought of not being able to push the throttle, especially because that's what all of us look forward to. From my understanding, Jack is planning on the majority of the weekend/events to take place in rural areas. I have faith that he will have things planned with law enforcement as well. No worries here- just looking forward to another great time!
TerrysSPF- Thank you for your input. To answer your question, yes, I am a new member. I have been involved with every fling, however, just haven't had the time to join CC. Just to clarify things, I haven't tried to make decisions for everyone, just made some suggestions that my friends and I were brainstorming, just as what a lot of members on this forum have done as well. I haven't " throat thrashed" Turk or anyone else- just defended myself in what has been an ugly topic the last month or so. In fact, my posts have been pretty mild in comparison to some of the others. Senior Club member or rookie, I have respect for every single person in our organization ( yes, even you Turk..haha..by the way Turk, I have a lot of constructive things to do, and I AM a very intelligent person). Hell, every family has feuds, but when it comes down to it, that's what we ARE... a FAMILY ..plain and simple. It is a shame that everyone can't come together and accept change.

Ok, here we go. The autox will not be held on Sunday of the Fling. We will not be going to an island this year. Most likely the autox will be on Saturday, this giving the most people time to enjoy. Friday will still be the poker run, all small towns and mostly off of major highways. Firday and Saturday nights are planned, but not sure which order we will do things.
Everyone seems to want Sunday to be a cool down day from the weekend. If anyone has anything specific they would like to see done, now is the time to speak. We're thinking of holding a breakfast in the morning, small farewell, and let everyone head for home. There was concern about winding down and a lot of people heading for home, and didn't want to miss anything. What's the concensus for Sunday??

Sunday
I left DVSF IV early Sunday morning and started the drive home. Subsequently I read there had been a nice get together on Sunday, and if I had it to do over I would have stayed for that event.
What ever the consensus for a Sunday activity this year, I will attend but probably opt to depart by 1 or 2 p.m.

Jack,
For Sunday, maybe a realxing get together but still in a place where the public could enjoy our cars too? I will say that was one of the nice parts of London,,park the cars on the street...have fun and let the locals oogle.

Let's just go to the park, whether they're ready or not!!!
Just kidding, Jack. That would be great with me. I'm easy going. As long as we've got friends and lots of driving events, I'm a happy guy. Plus, now with my wife having the whole summer off, we may be able to stay longer on Sunday.

Finally, the positive mood is emerging on this forum!!!!
I am very excited with the schedule of events! Jack, I think you mentioned we were doing a QSL on either Fri/ Sat evening...what are you thinking for the other night?
A relaxing Sunday sounds good to me, and I am up for doing a well populated park. Maybe Vermillion, Hinkley, or something along those lines? I'll do anything though...!

Jack,
In my last post I made a suggestion of Vermillion or Hinkley...scratch Hinkley, I meant Huntington Park, right there on Lake Rd. I think it's in Bay Village. What a gorgeous Sunday ride down Lake Rd that would be

Friday and Saturday nights, one will be QSL and the other the catered meal like they always have. If someone has an alternative to the catered meal, again, now's the time.......

Jack,
Could you bring up some corned beef sandwiches from Slyman’s Restaurant out of Cleveland for one of the meals? I know they are up to $6.50 a sandwich but with the amount of corned beef they put on their sandwich it makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Is QSL a chain of some sort? Not familiar with them. This is not a problem..just a curiosity thing.
