I've heard E.R.A. almost exclusively. However, I also have an old VHS promotional tape from E.R.A. (probably early 1990s). During the tape (about 20 minutes long), the announcer clearly says "era" several times, and "E.R.A." a couple of times. Even back then, I thought that "E.R.A." sounded better. I still do.

Also, the factory phone in New Britain is always answered "E.R.A" whenever I call, so that's probably a good indication of their preference.

E.R.A. for the past 25 years (as far back as my experience goes...). I first wandered into the old brick building* (now used by the adjoining HVAC contractor), the then E.R.A world headquarters, in the fall of 1984...

*It took me awhile to find the dang place; no website, google maps, cellphones and then, as now, no sign on the old house out at 608 East Main Street....

Being of contrary nature, I always answer the phone with "Era Automobiles". E.R.A. can be confused with a local real estate company, and Era Replica Automobiles is just too long for my short attention span. Peter likes to use E.R.A. Automobiles.

I asked for a blank id plate and had it professionally engraved.

I waited until I was gathering up all my paperwork before I called ERA (or is that E.R.A?) and requested the paperwork adn the plate. Don't want to lose that MSO before you register...
