Door latch cover screw?
I'm probably the 1000th person here to go looking for this screw, but I need to know what it is. Since it is off the ancient MG style door latch, I assume it is some British thread, but it doesn't match anything I can find in the tables. It measures .1065" major diameter, and thread pitch is about 44 tpi. The "6BA" thread seems close at .11" dia and 47.9 tpi. It is too fine to be a 1/8" BSW (Whitworth) at 40 tpi. A 4-40 UNC is too coarse. Anybody .. Bob?
many thanks,
Sam

Sammy, I don't know the answer, but if Bob P. (and any one else) can't give you the answer, then shoot an email to these guys -- they will know (and probably have a few leftover screws sitting in a box as well). http://www.mgcars.org.uk/octclub/index.htm Your door latch is called a "Silent Travel" btw.

It's probably BS/BA since these latches have been used on British cars since the early '50s. Let me take a look in our "miscellaneous door latch parts" bin on Monday. Good chance we have one.

Found the screws. I'll send a couple out through the mail. Still at the 1509 address?
