Honestly, I was thinking that in my head and earlier I was trying to find something I thought ERA did like that a long time ago. Agreed. The AC script would be perfect for an ERA badge.

I'm glad I thought of it.

I'll bet you thought of Windows 7 too.

I'm working on it. The letters don't mesh as easily as the A and C, so it's a matter of choosing esthetic compromises.

You guys come up with some great ideas!

For the Hood & Trunk emblem, I like Bob's E•R•A design, with Gunner's color suggestions.

For the steering wheel cap, Patrick's Idea of the AC steering wheel cap, but with ERA in the same style font, is great. That design would also be similar to the ERA brake and clutch pedals.

This configuration would be similar to 'vintage' Cobras ... the hood and trunk emblems match and the steering wheel cap and clutch / brake pedals match.

Any thoughts?

I'll work out some designs but, with the small volume expected, I'd rather have either the block design or the script design, but not both.

I vote script! I think they would sell as an option. ERA buyers/owners are usually proud.

I vote script also--have everything match the logo on the pedals.

Given the choice between the Block letters or Script, I would go for the Script as well. As noted, it ties in with the pedals.

This is what I thought: there were blue ERA badges on #669, a green street version that was a clone of Peter P.'s real one. From the ERA 427 picture gallery:

Jeffy, as was noted earlier in the thread apparently the ERA street car badges were "stickers" placed over whatever other badges were on there. Possibly badges bearing a likeness or a copyright of "he who shall remain nameless".

Script, matching the pedals, I think were getting somewhere AND the excitement level increases. Bob and Gunner now scrambling for the right look. Go get 'em guys!

Comments on this? Keep in mind that even if everyone was wild about this look, there are hours of subtle tweaking to balance the letter forms and curves. It would not look so... 70s psychedelic when done.

Honest feedback on the overall look, though?

I like Gunner's concept. I might also try it with just a little thinner script.

I know my opinion counts for nothing, maybe less than nothing, but I like Gunner's attempt very much. The only small critique I have would be the lower far right hand side of the "A". However, thinner script may help.

Gunner, are you a graphic designer/"arteest"?

Looking good.

Script, matches the current pedal design, this thing is coming together nicely!

Maybe the R needs more curvature. I like how the "A" and the "C" wrap each other like a glove.

Just out of curiosity, does the badge need the two dots?
