Door Opening Rivets
Bob,
My car #2066 is ready for the last coat of primer on Monday-- then paint-- My question is regarding the rivets that are in the door sill (where the step molding goes)--
The painter has asked me if he should bury the rivets or remove them and replace them after paint-- Right now they are getting buried by filler and primer etc--
I purchased the step moldings that would hide that whole area-- but if I choose not to install the moldings-- what is the correct way to finish off that area-- Do the real ones have rivets there??
What function do the rivets play?
How have the others been finished in that area on cars that you guys paint?--
Best regards,
Jim
