There's enough air cirulation in the engine compartment to keep the joint from "cooking". I've never seen grease seep from the joint.
Those wonderful remote filter adapters... Enzo must buy them from the same place we get 'em. Around 25% of them seep like that. It's probably from a porous casting. You can either replace it or use something like Locktite sealant(special stuff for porous castings) to fill the voids. The piece would have to be cleaned thoroughly, but it should fix the problem. Enzo will probably replace it too, but you're still working with the 25% failure rate...
