Perfect. Aside from that I like that you drive it with no filters.
Rock on Dude.

I always like yours too over the years Pirate. Especially the nostalgic paint and your Weber set.

Nice, Allen. What other little "fine tuning" mods have you got in mind for 2124?
Cheers,
Glen

So Allen are we a little further down the line ...

All kidding aside ... It's great fun to watch as you have refined and redefined 2124. A fine example of how one can start with a great car and tastefully evolve it into a truly great and unique Cobra.

Thanks, Tim/Glen/Hyde/Chas...it's fun to hear your feedback and constructive suggestions along the way...

...so yeah, on my list of annoyances with the car...there would be changing the Triumph steering column over to the ERA column, perhaps adding an oil cooler for nothing more than aesthetics, and making the dash more accurate. It's that curse of a "trained eye" that Hyde speaks about..I've teetered back and forth regarding FIA vs drop-center'd dash, but haven't made a decision. I really like the gauge lay-out and aircraft switches on the FIA-style dash, but the drop-center dash can be made all racer-like, too. Just some things to think about for further down the road...

I'm pressed for time at the moment, but will follow up with some cars that I've seen that have provided me with some inspiration on the subject of color change...

..but....but...but....

COB6008 after it's "refresh":

The Willment car driven at LeMans..chassis 2130....not sure about this though as it's such an iconic car...if I did red, I would do some variation of this theme..

..and CSX2402 - pretty standard Blue/White, but I love the white wheels and i have an extra set of PSE FIA's stacked up in the corner that would be good candidates..

ERA 2124 presently:

So....never happy..

- Allen.

Thumbs down

A. No
B. No
C. No
D. NEVER CHANGE!
-and remember I've been a blue & white guy with sparkly wheels for 2+ decades. I even love the black wheels on yours-and I HATE black wheels.
Solution; order another one and paint it for the Wifey...

Leave the color. It looks vintage and is stunning. You've done an amazing job. I would vote for eliminating the yellow stripe, though, as I think it detracts from the overall look.

I've never been a green-kinda person, but I do think it works for your car.

if you do decide to paint, then I would rank my choices as: 1. blue/white, 2. red/white and 3. white/cream. All would look nice.

As long as you leave the green, I'm good with or without the stripe. It does distinguish the car as much as the top and wheels though...

Hold the phone Allen.
Ironic that you've got 3 big block owners (2 blues, 1 chrome) hounding you to keep your color. That alone should tell you something. Just don't change colors just to have a new project to do. Recognizing perfection is harder than creating it.
Easy thing to do; P'Shop your stripe out of a couple of pictures to see if you like it. That saves you work and disappointment. Just went through this with Sheldon Cooper and his wheel centers. It worked well with him.
Post 'em here so we can continue to hound you.

Chrome? Uh, polished aluminum, sir.

I can understand if Allen chooses to paint his car. While it certainly works and looks period correct, he appears to enjoy improving, updating, changing, modifying and playing around with his car. Sometimes, it's nice to have something to look forward too. It's the next project.

Kinda like me. My next project is opening the garage door, taking the car cover off and starting and driving my car.
