Default Calling Bob - Altenator strap question?

I went down to Ford to order the alternator adjusting brace referenced in the ERA shop manual for FE motors (C6AZ-10145-B) and the parts guy said it was discontinued and he wasn't showing any in inventory anywhere.

Does ERA still have a stock of these or do you know of an alternate Ford brace that works OK?

Thanks

Dan

try ebay..... prolly a couple dozen to choose from.....

the C8 part number will work it puts the alternator up top so it won't hit your frame

I have the ERA mount which is suppose to position the alternator correctly. I'm not sure if there is anything special about the suggested top adjusting brace or not. But I thought I would go with ERA's recommendation to avoid picking up a bunch of parts that don't work and end up piling up in my garage.

Thanks. I've got a few other things I've been meaning to order so I'll give Peter a call and pick one up.
