Ignition Switch Replacement on ERA 427SC

Bob, Thanks for the help Thursday. I found a replacement switch at NAPA and was quickly back on the road. Of course, the fancy Lucas style nut won't work, but I'm driving!

What do you guys use to re-thread these switches to match the nice Lucas style nut? Is it just a die? If so, what thread is it? Do you think I could buy a die and do this myself?

The bezel is internally threaded M18 x 1. I think we got our die from mscdirect.com. The threading is done essentially by hand.
