Upper radiator hose contact with frame

Is it normal for the upper radiator hose to be in firm contact with the front suspension X-bracing? Can't hardly see how it wouldn't be. I could probably force the radiator slightly more upright but not enough for the hose to not rest on the X-bracing. I have the ERA hoses and steel tubing.

It should not touch.

Mine is in pretty solid contact. Maybe went I put the rest of the hose on I can position it to preload the piece at the radiator and hold it away from the X-bracing.

The aluminum tube will push it up -- I think you'll be fine.

Dan-rotate the rubber hose inboard at the rad end (away from the x-member) a few degrees. Then mock-up the pipe and shorten the leg at the tank. You should get the slight amount you need.
Trial and error.
Don't put load stress on the parts-they expand with heat.

I'll work on it some more this evening. I was just playing around with it because the outlet off the radiator looked like it was clocked and aimed to result in interference with the brace. Sure enough it does. But I don't see anything that can be changed other than play with the hoses.

My radiator is spaced off of the aluminum panels with approx 3/8 inch thick rubber weatherstripping that was pre-installed. Is that what yours appears to have also?
