Emissions Test Date?

I just received my registration renewal (CT) and it showed a Emissions Test Date of 10-1-16. It's been exempt in the past. Is this something new?

I had the same problem and called the DMV. The guy said the computer requires them to input a date, and they put a date as far out as the computer will accept. He didn't say when or whether they will fix the system someday so that Composite cars do not require a date.

I have previously received the same answer. My test date is now set at 12-31-2019 in the Emissions System.
