Phil,
For powder coating I can highly recommend Accessories Plus in Belmont. They did several parts for my Cobra and did an excellent job. As I recall, they have a lot of different levels of finish for black (8 or so), all the way from very flat to very glossy. You might also consider a flat/satin finish on the dash and a more glossy finish the roll bar. Lots of good choices. I too like the F250 tow vehicle, it will make for quite a combo

Phil,
Regarding shifter location, if your Toploader is from a '67 Mustang, it most likely has the correct 14" length tail housing . Mine has the same length tailhousing but I needed to relocate the Hurst shifter further forward and lower down. All that was required was a new mounting plate/bracket.
Cheers,
Glen

Phil,
I was at the Nor Cal mini nats too, and the same ERA caught my eye as well. I briefly talked with the owner and this is the FIA that is on the ERA website. A great example of ERA’s craftsmanship being regularly exercised on the track. I have no doubt that your car will be much the same!

Starting to install the panels and some exterior items. Has any one used the Clutch slave cylinder from Modern Driveline. Wonder if it would work? Starting to get going on building and engine. Hope to install motor early next year. Fingers crossed...

Looking good. First thing - I don't know anything about the push from the rear type of slave setup. Your fork pivots on the right side of the bellhousing - right? It looks suspiciously to me like you have less mechanical leverage with that type of set up and would need a slave with more than the usual 1 inch +/- stroke. I would think that the pivot should also be shimmed a little forward to move the left side of the fork back towards the slave cylinder a little more so that there is plenty of room for fork travel without hitting the front of the fork opening in the bellhousing.
But - I don't really know anything about this type of set up.

The #142 FIA car, is that Joe R's ex car, from NY/CT? Not only a Very nice build, but exceptionally fast (at least with laid back Joe running it).

DanEC Found out from Brent Lykins from Lykins Motorsport that the pivot on the Fox body 5.0 is on the pass side. Never built one up so I never new that. Used to the 60/70 mustang style... He said the push type was better for that style.
