Default Ultimate engine

I'm thinking about putting my .15 Nitro engine from my remote control car in the cobra. Any thoughts? After reading some of the threads, I thought this one could bring in some interesting comments.

No problem! Just send it in so we can make special engine mounts. Wait'll you see the trans adapter!

We are currently developing a 4 channel remote control so that you can go as fast as you want - as long as you're standing outside the car.

What OS engine is it? What was it in first? I was really into these cars for a while. I have a traxxas nitro sport with 40 mm carb, Stinger pipe, big bore shocks, and aluminum front a-arms. i painted a body black with silver and purple flames. It's awesome. I don't know if it could keep up with a cobra though.

I think it is the CV-X, maybe. I haven't used in a couple of years so I will do my best. The last time I used it I was doing burn-outs in my garage ( ) when the spur gear and the gears in the transmission basically melted/shredded. I guess I've got a little too much power in 'er . It is a Kyosho Sandmaster ST-2. Orginally it was a piece of crap, but I did a little work on it. I put a Silverado Pro-line body on it (Black with yellow flames), Duratrax shocks all around, steel tunable turnbuckles, Associated tuned pipe, boost bottle, Futaba radio, aluminum flywheel, heat sink head, and I'm sure some other stuff. One thing's for sure, eventhough it is a remote control, I put way too much money into it. I also made some aluminum and carbon fiber braces for the weak plastic shock towers. It didn't get much better for a kid who didn't have his license to enjoy a real car. It was either pretend to race on a computer, or go outside and run it around for about fifteen minutes (at this time something was surely to break).

Normallt I get more than 15 minutes out of a run. The only exception was the first time I brought it out after a 3 month break. 3 minutes and straight into a brick wall at about 40. Luckily my grandfather has made me a bumper out of aluminum a while ago. Not too much damage. I juse broke the front servo saver.

Speaking of ultimate engines, Bruce Clark was here yesterday with his FIA. 720 bhp from a 351-based block. Richy took it out and came back stuttering and glassy eyed... (and he's described 500 bhp cars as "nice"!)
Even Bruce says he's going to replace the cam with something milder because the engine doesn't come on until 5000 rpm, at which point the car becomes absolutely scary.
