Default Alignment shop in CT for an ERA Cobra

I'm looking for a shop that has experience with these cars to bring my ERA to check the front end. Does anyone know a good shop close by(Haddam) to set up the suspension and alignment? Yesterday, after a spirited acceleration through the gears, I had a front end shake/shudder on deceleration(no braking, just coasting) It doesn't do it driving the car normally, it seems to be associated with the weight transfer to the front wheels when letting up off the gas. Thanks....

Give Doug a shout up at ERA. I know the setup is for something like a 76 camero and the numbers are in the manual also. I think any speed shop or Firestone "tune up" place can do it if you give them the numbers.I'd like to know what you find. Thanks

Are you sure it wasn't just rough pavement? Were you able to repeat it?

It might have been Dan. I couldn't get it to do the same thing today. I did talk to Doug and he was very helpful. Customer service at ERA is second to none.

In checking with Bob at ERA, they still have snow piles sitting around... and you are out driving?

Given the amount of salt that has been put down in the NE, it will be June before it is washed off the roads...

Hi Jim, I haven't had it out on the road yet. I've been driving it up and down the taxi way at the Chester Airport. No salt used there. Gives me a nice controlled environment to play in. With almost 600 HP, this thing is a handful.
JHand, we just purchased a place on the CT river right across from the Goodspeed Airport. Lets plan on getting together this summer for a cruise. I also have an ERA GT40 we can play with.

I am only about 5 miles north of the goodspeed, we do a fair amount of the local cruise nights, our favorite is to vineyard hope on the weekends.
I wish i was able to get an ERA gt40 before they stopped producing them, one day far from now I will own one.
Here is the place I used:
The Tire Store, LLC
Address
127 Boston Post Rd.
East Lyme, CT
Phone
860-739-5627
Business Hours
Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm
Saturday: 8am-1pm

I had them balance the wheels first, I took them off the car and dropped them off one day, then I had them do the alignment. Does not matter the order really, they spent over on hr on the alignment. Took very good care of the car.

Hi guys. Murray here and my wife and I are up here in Farmington and love to cruise down RT 9 and do a devil's Hopyard run or out towards Colchester. I'm in the 427, her in the slabside. Lets us know and we can let them run. Murray and Marilyn

Try one of my favorites: 9 to 148 to 77 to 146, then best way home from Branford.
