Hi Dan,

You are correct, I put the wrong date...duh. You're also right about having fun, these cars are awesome. Thanks for the correction.

I attended a local car enthusiast coffee meeting today and met a man who has a early ERA Cobra, BB, side oiler, built in 1992. I was very impressed with the originality look of it (especially the engine compartment)... it was painted "gorgeous" black. It popped. I will seriously consider an ERA after I sell my current SPF. The info on this link has been very helpful.

Bobby, remember: it's not the date the kit was shipped that counts for Canada, it's the date the car itself was fully completed.

For example, a kit shipped from ERA to the customer in 1995, but that took him 3 years to build, is NOT considered a 1995. It's a 1998.

Obviously it would be different for a turnkey car from ERA where the ship and completed dates would presumably be the same.

Thanks. So it is running about 10 months.

Congratulations on getting yours. I will look forward to seeing it.

Brings back some great memories. Looks beautiful and we'll enjoy the details when you get a build thread going.
