Well, it will depend on how many hours a week you put in on it and if you have gathered all the small pieces and materials you need to complete the job (insulation, engine accessories, etc). I would guess that with putting in a lot of hours a week (weekends and evening after work) it could be up and running within a couple months. With a more leisurely schedule - maybe 6 months.

It was a niggle....(whatever that means).

It's almost back together. Gotta slap the intake, rockers, and water pump on and we're back in business.

Two months is what I am thinking. I don't have a pesky job, so I can put in a lot of time on it.

With no job and all the parts available, two months is doable. I got mine as a "1/2 roller", meaning the rear was in but the front suspension, brakes, etc. were in boxes. I spent just shy of a year finishing mine but that included the fact that I do have a pesky job and was traveling a good bit, I also did a number of little extras to kill time because my engine wasn't ready so that added almost 3 months and I also wound up having to take the rear apart and disassemble one of the half-shafts to replace a faulty bearing. So, if you're able to work on it a lot, your expectation is reasonable.

As much of a hurry as you'll be in to drive the car, don't rush it. I still enjoy going back through photos of my build and recalling those days.

I didn't order the top and side curtains initially. Then I read DanEC's thread about fitting the top and reconsidered. I figure my wife will be shocked at the total bill but she will get over it. Spending more money later will become difficult!
I have the motor that Jay had in his shop. I bought it from his estate. So I am heading up to ERA and see if the gang can build a cobra around the motor. I will up there around the 8th of June if anybody needs pictures of their car.

My car should be at ERA getting the body bonded to the frame this coming week and then off to paint. Feel free to take some pics of it if you want! It's #813. I'm hoping for a delivery by late July and I anticipate being able to complete the car and have it on the road by Spring 2017. Unfortunately I usually underestimate the time it takes me to do things so we'll see.............

My problem is I am going to have to really practice my patience waiting for 821 to be finished.

Hi Gregg,

You didn't happen to see a certain slabside (*cough* 3012 *cough*) in progress, did you?

I saw a FIA/slab side frame on the jig. Not sure the serial number and not sure if the car in the molds was a 427 or a slabside.

I did see a wrecked slab side in for repair

#822 is officially trailing behind #821. Headed up for a tour in August.

Perhaps we can meet up there in the near future. Tell war stories I plan to head up in November and in March to drop some money burning a whole in my pocket.

be interesting watching the cars come together.

Sounds Good.

I know ill be there in August, then it will be schedule dependent. Right now i am checking market value on a kidney and thinking about the feasibility of donating one pint of blood per week for the next 52 weeks, in order to raise money for my motor!
