Spax leaking...
I think I know the answer to this but is there a way to reseal a Spax shock? I have a front one that's leaking. They only have about 2600 miles on them but the car was sitting for a LOOONG time.

No, you can't fix them after they start leaking. And I'm not completely sure on this, but I think the SPAX shocks that are up front are custom jobbies made especially for ERA that you just can't buy off the internet. Maybe Bob will post a definitive answer on that.

Spax used to have a rebuilding facility in the US, but I don't think they're still around. Your only choice is to replace them with new or send them back to Jolly Old.

Bob, are they "off the shelf" SPAX dampers or are they funky ERA only custom made guys?

They are standard length, but may have custom ends and different threaded sections for us.

So would you know which cars do and which cars don't?

... and are the mounts for the SPAX shocks the same as they are for the KONIs? In other words, if you had leaky SPAX shocks and decided to go with the KONIs instead, is that an easy switch?
EDIT - Not that the KONIs for up front are cheap or anything, they're $500 each off of Amazon.
