Default Steel Spinners...

I'm looking to buy a set of steel spinners, old school and not the newer aluminum type. Used or new. I've seen them on the Shelby continuation cars.. Anybody have a line on a used set or know who manufacters them?

Kim

It's been a while since any of them were active, but there have been a number of threads on this topic:
Stainless Steel Spinners
spinners alum. VS stainless steel
who sells stainless steel knock offs?

George Petrus is the source for Shelby, he passed away but, his son runs the business now. He has the polished and unpolished Stainless steel parts and lot more.

Here is a link to the current web Site:

Hi guys,

Sorry looks like the SS spinners are no longer available from George's son.

Hillbank seems to have bought the products formally from the Petrus family.

My Bad,

Thanks guys, I got a referral to Tom Petrus a couple of days ago but phone numbers have been disconnected. I might have to bite the bullet and get them from Hillbank.

On a separate note, why is my Club Cobra page coming up with such small type? Happened after the site crashed...I can barely read it.

Try holding down the Ctrl key and pressing '0' (the number) at the same time.

Ctrl + '+' (plus) key makes text bigger, Ctrl + '-' (minus) key makes text smaller

Those are identical to the spinners on my car. I often wonder why they say "American Shelby, Inc" and not "Shelby American, Inc."

Mickmate: looks like an opportunity for you to add another item to your well made product line and you could help fill a need for those that don't want to deal with either Shelby American or American Shelby.

And if you lived in Stoke on Trent that would be pretty damn convenient. But considering that it's starting to look like you can't even buy them anymore here in the states, that just might be his only choice.

Hmmm, maybe with the pound so low, our price in $$$ might be favorable, even with shipping?

It's no different to us having to source a wide range of parts in the US and you won't find better quality than from Dave.

Using stainless steel spinners would seem to make it critical to use anti-seize liberally to prevent galling to the hub.

The hubs are steel, so probably less critical than if you were using aluminium spinners on steel hubs.

Probably true - may depend somewhat on the grade stainless steel used.
