It looks like Connecticut Custom did a fantastic job on your paint. What options over and above the standard prep and paint package did you get from them?

Thanks all.
ACHiPo, I had Connecticut Custom finish the backside of the trunk lid and round the wheel well edges as well.

Sweet color = Princess Blue?
Great collection of parts, look forward to seeing it in person some day.
I get the kids, sports and all that as I have 4 kids.. Phew, lucky to have anything but a minivan.

Thanks Jeff.
I have learned so much reading yours and Larry's posts. I owe you guys some beers
Princess Blue is what I was going for. I got a custom mix from a well regarded Cobra restorer but it is so damn hard to tell via photos, of both mine and originals, as the color looks so different depending on angle and light. Regardless, I'm happy with how it turned out at least in the pictures I have -- I'm dying to see it in person!
Hmm, SAAC in California is definitely temping. I'll have to see how the progress goes. I'm really hoping the car is in my possession by the end of the year, but I'm not sure how long it'll take before ERA is ready to release it.

That's looking great. Nice to see ERA worked in the belly in the rocker panel line as that really mimics the originals. Just one of their many areas of attention to detail.

I'll be there a week from tomorrow and plan to photograph everything in sight
Let me know if there are things of specific interest and I'll do what I can to get the skinny.

Really nice!
This weekend I showed my ERA Slabside #3010 at the British
Invasion Stowe, VT. The complements and attention the car received was great.
ERA makes an outstanding Slabside, I really enjoy the car as you will.
In addition the drive to Stowe in the early fall in a Slabside is as good as it can get.

Thanks all. As far as wheels go, I am going with the ERA supplied Dunlops.

That is what I have on my Slabside with 215X70 15 Michelins. The tire size was suggested by Peter and I am pleased with the handling and looks.

Thanks John - that is great info. What model Michelin is it? I'm interested to know a bit more details on the diameter and section of the tire you are using. I am probably going with Avon's but their diameter is slightly more than what the maximum ERA has listed in the manual.
Avon CR6ZZ
205/70R15 Dia: 26.6" Section: 8.4"
215/70R15 Dia: 26.7" Section: 9.0"
Thanks,
-Andrew

Andrew,
Michelin Defender 215X70R15 98T mounted on Dunlap 15X6 chrome wire wheels. The wheel wells are nicely filled unlike smaller tires. For the speeds I drive the tire is far more than I need.
I trust this info will be of help.
Best,
John ERA Slabside #3010 BRG 289

John,
That helps a lot, thank you. Looking up your Michelin's I see:
Section Width: 8.7"
Overall Diameter: 26.9"
So it seems I could probably get by with either size of the Avon's. Do you have an idea how close your rear tires are to the exhaust pipe? I'd like to go for the 215's to get a bit more tire on the ground but want to make sure that the 3/10th's of an inch additional for the Avon's wouldn't get me into trouble.

Andrew,
My Slabside has stainless steel side exit(in front of the rear tire) exhaust pipes. Needless to say tire fitment has not been an issue. I feel sure Peter or Doug at ERA would be able to address your concern. If you click on my desgros@vtlink page there are pictures of the side exit exhaust on my Slabside.
Best, John

VERY NICE Andrew!
You will be getting the best of the best.
I plan to visit ERA on 20 October when I am in the New Britain area on business.
I'll look forward to seeing your Slabside.
John
