Beautiful Andrew! That colour is perfect for a 289 roadster.
Cheers,

Thanks everyone -- I am definitely excited! Intercity said the next truck up to the northwest was mid-November so I'm hoping to see it in a month or so.

Andrew,
How long will it take from when you notified Intercity until you receive the car?

Not a clue. They said they'd call me a few days before pick up and I assume that they would be able to give me an ETA at that point. FWIW I made my booking on 10/23.

Beautiful color combination, Andrew. That ice metallic blue (Princess Blue, I think) really shows off the curved lines of the AC body and the red interior sets it off perfectly. I did get to see John's ERA at Stowe also and BRG also looks quite nice on a slabside as well. Well done!

Looks great! It will turn heads when you go down the road. Nice colors. I do like a red interior.

I was really struck by the princess blue/red color combination, but I understand its not for everyone. I'm sure I'll hear a few "shoulda done a black interior" but that's OK by me. I am a bit concerned though that I might have chosen a red leather that is too bright. ERA offered a great selection of swatches and now I feel like I should have chosen a darker version. I'll cross that bridge when it comes to it, but as of now that is a future me dilemma.

Go with your gut and first impulse. There were color choices for 289s which made for such a classy combination. I think the red gives it style

Love the red interior! Great combination with your body color. I saw an original Princess Blue over red 289 rebuilt by David Wagner at The Cobra Experience in Martinez, CA and it was stunning. Not sure if it’s the same 2242 car that is your inspiration, but it was beautiful.

Thanks for the prod Chris. I've been meaning to post an update for a few weeks now. The car was delivered on Dec 8th and it is everything I hoped for -- ERA and Connecticut Custom really nailed it. I haven't had a ton of time to work on the car due to the holidays, but so far we've got the front end pretty much wrapped up and will be moving to the rear next weekend. After that its back to finishing the engine. I'm very impressed with ERA's meticulous packaging of the parts and related hardware. It makes it very easy to assemble instead of spending a bunch of time chasing your tail.
I'll get some more pictures up soon, but it resides in a cramped Seattle garage so its not nearly as an impressive scene as some of your guys workshops so set your expectations accordingly
My first view during unloading
At home after figuring out how to get it up the steep driveway. Pucker factor was high on that one!
Also, Intercity Lines was great to deal with. The driver, Mike, was fantastic and very helpful during the delivery.

Apologies for the lack of updates. There have not been many picture worthy events lately as it's just been a tedious processes getting the rear end fully buttoned up. One of those two steps forward, one step back type of things. Anyway, the rear end is in and I hope not to see it again . Now that the front and rear ends are done it's time to pivot back to the engine.
Prepare the patient
Home sweet home
Again, I really envy you guys with big garages!
Hopefully the updates will come at a faster pace from here on out.
