Whitworth screws

Mickmate at ACTON is supposed to carry them.

If you are going to replace any screws, make sure that the new ones are not longer than the original ones. If the screw is too long, it might touch the windshield glass - which will eventually crack. We have to trim the screws that we get with the sunvisors because they are too long.

I may remember incorrectly, but I put visors on 755. It didn't have visors when I bought it.

I am 90% sure I purchased the fasteners at Grainger or McMaster-Carr. They were either ASE or Metric.

Bob can weigh in if I'm wrong.

Take a screw out of measure the threads.

John

Jack is our expert in windshield/accessory parts. They've changed over the years. He should be in on Monday.
