And you might as well put the defroster tubing in as well. I've never used mine, but I'm told they do work. I'm also told that in some states you have to have a defroster functioning in order to get it registered. So, might as well throw it in to the mix up front.

Troy, I apologize for completely derailing your thread. |
I have both the heater and heated seats. I've used the defroster a couple of times and it does work - not as well as in a "normal" car, but it cleared the windshield on a couple of pre-dawn rides. The heater is worthless unless, as Dan said, you have the top on. I put heated seats in at my wife's request and I'll admit I love them too. She puts a blanket on her lap and the heat from the seats is enough to keep her warm. We go for drives with temps in low 40's and stay comfortable. I mounted the heated seat switches on the bottom flange of the dash out of sight, along with a 12v marine grade socket. Oh, I had the seat heater pads delivered to ERA and they inserted them as the seats were being built.

edit: Allen's hardtop was also sourced from Bruce Chervenak http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/era-...ra-2124-a.html Apologies Troy; back to you. good luck with the search. Incidentally, where did your 289FIA go? Cheers! Glen |
Still looking for an ERA. Glen, the FIA went to a thrilled new owner in PA.

Perhaps if you dangled a dollar figure out there you would entice some ERA fence-sitters to move in your direction....%/ |
Era 626
just sold mine for $65k The car is very well sorted out.
I had around $70k in the car, $40k for the roller, $10k paint, $20k motor. Yes ERA holding their value. Only cost me $5k to enjoy ERA 626 for 16 years. Now I am building a CSX car, I truly know the ERA car is put together a LOT better than the CSX. But I can deal with the issues as I enjoy building cars.. |
