Will Richmond Super Street fit in ERA?

Bob,

Will a Richmond Super Street OD 5 speed fit in an ERA 427 without frame modifications? I know ERA used to use a lot of the 4+1 Richmonds.

The Super Street is 1.5" longer to the transmission mount, than the old Richmond 4+1. The belly of the transmission looks like it will be really close, if not in contact with the cross member.

I have a car on order and wanted to give Peter a break. I have been wearing him out with questions.

I am leaning towards the Richmond, but if it requires frame mods, I will go with a Tremec.
