Her favorite color (Stripes were all rage then) would finish it off nicely. If I ended up with it, I was going have Steve (Volk) see if he or SAAC could come up with pictures of said Cobra. Steve already knows about ERA2080 as we talked about doing something special with it @ the open house in Sep. I'll give you a ring Bill, we'll talk K? Cheers Tom.

I know I saw a vintage picture within the last year, of a similar stripe configuration on an original CSX2000 series, maybe 2160,2255,or 2565 . I have an email out to Ned with a picture of the nose stripe and a request for assistance

Bill, CSX2565's stripe is probably the closest, with a similar width stripe flaring at the front.
2565 is/was dark blue with a white stripe....
Cheers,
Glen

Congrats Bill, great looking car and a nice addition to your stable. As Tom said, a very nicely optioned example with a good history.
Have fun going through the car top to bottom and now you have not one, but two nice Cobras to drive.

Tim (tkb289) you're right Bill now has 2-keepers As we have talked before, Bill knew the SPF MkII, was a keeper, now the ERA show's up, and I can see him keeping that one too. As vntgspd said at least it stayed 'In the Family' I've been watching that Unique (Sorry it's a Comtemporary) FIA on BaT, sent the link to Karl, but like he said it's not an ERA, and a touch too 'raw' compared to the ERA. So, TommyRot, will sit and wait for another 'perfect ERA 289FIA' Cobra to show up Cheers Tim.

The Contemporary FIA (on BAT) as of last year, was still owned by the same owner Scott here on Club Cobra. In fact he posted way back in 2014 about the potential sale CLICK HERE

Bill,
Please contact your friend J. Olsen and ask him to attend the May 21 event with his Cobra. I have one I believe looks very similar.
Thanks,

Bill, you might also want to look into CSX-2043, and possibly CSX-2031, in Guardsman Blue with similar silver nose/center stripe, as seen in one of my books.

I don't want to steal Bill's post, but thank you for the compliment, and yes it is British Racing Green. Bill has an old friend who owns a self built 289 that looks to be a similar color. Mine is an Aurora Mk. II Serial # 153 that had been Cobraized.
Thanks
Michael

I owned an Aurora 17 years ago, 1981 first year car, think it was #8 (red, black interior). Had the absolute smallest drivers footbox I've ever encountered.

Fortunately, the ERA foot-boxes are designed for the well-endowed.
