Interestingly enough, when my 24 month warranty old Interstate died I went back to the same "Guys Owned" NAPA store I've used for 30 years or so. When I say guys owned, I mean it's always the same four or five old guys in there running the place but maybe they substitute them out from time to time because they don't really seem to age, or maybe they replace each old guy with a new old guy that looks just like the old old guy.
Well, when I went back this time an old guy said "oh we don't sell Interstate anymore." He then explained to me that Interstate severed sales ties with all NAPA stores in January, but he was kind enough to refer me to the Olympus Auto Parts store just up the street who happily sold me the more expensive Interstate AGM battery.
