Bob, I am timing you!!
Dear Mr. Putnam,
Your reponse to my most recent inquiry took 3 hours and 5 minutes before you found it in your heart to answer my questions.
That is almost 5 minutes past the promised times by your General Manager Mr. Portante.
He told me, if I had any questions I would get a reponse within 3 hours. What is up with that?
Let's see if you can do better this time.
Do you have any decals than can be affixed to the windshield of my car saying something about its heritage, ala FFR?
Something like ERA, or ERA Motorsports etc?
Thank you very much.
TURK
ps. Time is 8:06 AM right now!
3, 2, 1 go!

I spoke with Ron Rosen at Dynamic Motorsports in Ross, Ohio yesterday afternoon and I'm confident that HE has a really nice "Superformance" decal that will span your windshield.
It's guaranteed to make your car faster than ERA 535's and you'll be covered by the SPF legal umbrella! I think Amy's Panties would get more attention.

PH760 -
It is one thing to have a more powerful engine, it is quite another to be willing to use it.
In any case, I have more traction AND the capability of adding copious amounts of NOS should the need arise.
What is the SPF "legal umbrella?"
Amy's panties will be returned to their rightful owner (me) after all you perverts have finished with them. I am sure that they have been treated with the respect and awe that they deserve.

Turk,
This response took almost 4 hours. My a$$ is going to be in sling tomorrow. On the other hand, it is Sunday and I think he'll cut me some slack - although I should have driven out to Carlisle for the day. What's 10 hours driving, anyway?
Oh - your question! I broached this question to Peter a while ago and he was amenable - but then he doesn't actually do any work. I'd ask Phil, but that means the project will be finished in 2005. Maybe I can get Bryan to do something. He likes to play.

OK,
Thanks Bob. I appreciate you looking into this so soon.
I'll go ahead and wait until 2005 for some decals. Thanks.
TURK
I am 55 now, I hope I live long enough to see the decals.

Neat Idea
Turk,
I would take one even though I don't have my FIA yet - I can put it on my sedan!

Knowing Peter, I am thinking somewhere around $150.00 to $200.00 for full decals. Maybe a little more for metric decal. I also guess the adhesive that would make it stick to the windshield, is another $20.00. If you want the reverse decals that stick from inside the windshield those are more yet., I bet Peter can get all that done for under $300.00 per decal.
Bob,
You guys better step up and order at least 10. It looks we got 4 sold already.

Hey Turk, you might want to try a place like www.decals.com, or http://parkingsignsbypac.safeshopper.com/index.htm?408. I am pretty sure places like these or something like them could do want you want, probably faster and cheaper as well.

Thanks Ike,
Speaking for myself, I only desire authentic ERA decals as I know that even though they may charge a little more, the quality will be tops.
Thanks for checking!

HEY, COUNT ME IN FOR FOUR OF THEM. TWO FOR THE COBRA AND TWO FOR THE GT-40. I'LL NEED THE EXTRAS BECAUSE I'M SURE TO "SCREW-UP" THE FIRST ATTEMPT ON EACH CAR.
B.T.W. - - AT CARLISLE PETER HAD LITTLE ROUND STICK-ON DISCS COVERING THE "COBRA" EMBLEMS. THEY WERE SILVER WITH THE STYLIZED "E.R.A." LOGO IN BLUE AND THEY LOOKED GREAT. I'D REALLY LIKE TO GET SOME IN A NICE PERMANENT FINISH FOR MY ERA CARS. HOOD AND DECK EMBLEMS - - AND - - HOW ABOUT WHEEL CENTERS AS WELL - - MAYBE A STEERING WHEEL CENTER HUB ALSO.
I GOT AN "ERA MOTORSPORTS" JACKET AND CAP FROM JIM HOLDEN WHILE AT CARLISLE ALSO. THEY ARE REALLY FIRST CLASS. I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A FEW SHIRTS ALSO BUT NOTHING LEFT N MY SIZE. (SOMETHING ABOUT THE TENTMAKERS BEING ON STRIKE).
I MET PETER FOR THE FIRST TIME - IN PERSON - AT CARLISLE. YOUR RIGHT, TURK, HE DOES LOOK JUST LIKE BOB PUTNAM.
Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,
BLACKJACK

If there is a group mailing to BT Snake....I'm sure he can get some made up to be delivered to DVSF2.

Even though I started this thread with a tongue in cheek, I believe many of us would love to and be proud to display a white lettered decal similar to the company logo found in the back of our ERA Jackets.
If ERA can't do it, maybe they will allow us without infringing on their Logo, give us the permission to have it done somewhere.
What do the boys at ERA think?
Thanks
TURK

Do you guys have any design preference?
Here are a couple of possibilities (the top one would have color fill), but I would consider a different one too.

PROUD TO BE AN ERA OWNER
HOW ABOUT THE "ERA MOTORSPORTS" DESIGN THAT JIM HOLDEN DID ON THE JACKETS & SHIRTS - MADE UP AS A VINYL CLING STRIP TO FIT ACROSS THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD?? SIMILAR TO FFR & SF.
I REALLY LIKED THE "STYLIZED' E.R.A. LOGO THAT PETER PLACED OVER THE COBRA HOOD EMBLEMS. THERE WERE A LOT OF FAVORABLE COMMENTS ON IT AT CARLISLE. THE BLUE ON SILVER WAS VERY TASTEFULL. A BLUE CIRCLE AROUND IT WOULD MAKE IT STAND OUT EVEN MORE. THEY WOULD LOOK GREAT AS HOOD AND TRUNK EMPBLEMS AS WELL AS WHEEL CENTERS AND STEERING WHEEL HUB.
BOB, WE'RE NOT JUST PROUD OF OUR CARS - - - WE'RE PROUD OF OUR "ERA" CARS.
Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,
BLACKJACK
