If you get permission, get it in writing! I don't want both CS and ERA coming after my "stinking badges" !!!

Bob,
I would want it to say "ERA" in the ERA script and extend across the top of the windshield.
Colors? White for sure, maybe red, black, blue?

I like the idea of "ERA Motorsports". Then I can foist the deal on Jim H. We'll wait a bit to get some kind of consensus anyway - and Jim probably hasn't gotten out of bed from the weekend yet. All that partyin'.

Count me in for one for car 2078. The jacket that I picked up at carlisle from Jim H. has a very nice logo. That would look great across the top of the windshield. Maybe in a static cling on.

Bob:
I'm barely recovered from my "travails with Peter" to Carlisle and you have me into the windshield thing?
I will check with my source (who did the ERA Motorsport emblems for the "team" trailers) about it.
Morty MacTavish
PS: We had a great time. As always met a lot of great folks. We did the "little Carlisle 500" at the local go kart track. Turk wasn't there to be a target but we found other victims to harass.
PPS: The "original" ERA teeshirts arrived the day after I got back from Carlisle. We'll be at DVSFII so for those that are going I'll have some there.

I love what I paid for the jacket and the t-shirt so far. With that kind of pricing and relaxed collection habits, I think I can go ahead and order hundreds of those decals.
I planned on, but couldn't make Carlisle. Please PM me your address, so we can get squared away. I am sure you don't want to wait until we get to Ohio. It would save me another .37 cent in postage if you would.
BTW, on the decals if I may make a suggestion, the type that would stick from the inside the windshield (reverse logo) would work better.
This way when we run our cars through the car washes etc. they won't get beat up, and would last longer.
Seriously, they will hold up better without the wind beating up on them.
Thanks for you looking into this. If you can get the art work to me as a computer file, I could check for a company on the West Coast as well.
We are the masters of stickies, and decals here.

Original ERA Teeshirts
Jim,
Are the "Original ERA Teeshirts" like the ones hanging in the shop? If so, I would like to purchase a couple XXL. E-mail me the cost and a check will go in the mail this week.

SHIRTS
HEY, JIM,
GREAT MEETING YOU AT CARLISLE. MAN, I LOVE THAT TRAILER - - I'VE LIVED IN SMALLER HOUSES.
I BOUGHT A JACKET AND CAP FROM YOU AT CARLISLE - THEY'RE REALLY GREAT. UNFORTUNATELY YOU RAN OUT OF SHIRTS.
I'D REALLY LIKE TO GET TWO OF THE ERA MOTORSPORTS SHIRTS AND TWO OF THE "ORIGINALS". SIZE: "XL".
HOW CAN I GO ABOUT DOING THIS ??
ANY COLOR CHOICES ??
THANKS, AND, Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,
BLACKJACK

I am absolutely sure that you are delighted I started this thread.
It seems it struck a chord.
Will you be willing to submit a few of the designs to a poll, for us to vote on like we did for the Club Cobra logo?
Since this is afterall a logo for your company not ours, would you prefer to suspend the democratic principles and do it the way it pleases you, and let it go at that?
Isn't CT. The Constitution State?
TURK
CAn they be ready in time for the Spring Fling. We are tired of pepole asking us, "what kind of kit it" is. We want to be able to tell them it ain't no kit, IT IS AN ERA!!

But it's OK. My usual terms are 3 for 5 on payday... I figure sooner or later like a bad penny you'll show up.

PS. As for the tee shirts, they are a dark blue and feature the initials E. R. A. and a certain (unnamed) two passenger roadster on the front and "ERA Replica Automobiles" on the back.
PPS: All the windbreakers sold out at Carlisle, so I am ordering another batch for DVSFII With any luck they'll arrive the day after we get back.

Jim,
Could you make sure that you have a medium for me?
Please also send a large for FIAMike - he will pay for both of them.
Thanks!

Turk,
Yeah - I'm reeeaal happy that you started this.
I would be willing to moderate the design choice, but I think that Jim is a much better judge. If anyone has any new ideas that they think should be considered, e-mail me (eracars@aol.com) with as much information as possible - preferably a real drawing so I don't have to get too creative. (That's dangerous!)
In a week or so we'll make a decision, with Jim having all the reponsibility.

Folks:
Here it is!
The price of the tee shirt is $15.00 (2xl are $18.00) plus (Turk take note) shipping.
Now frankly I'm not set up for UPS etc. and would much prefer to just bring the stuff to DVSFII (assuming I live that long) and hand it out there.
I understand if I send it out priority mail, the cost is generally not more than $5.00. If the shipping is more I hope everyone will understand and avoid going into my book of PEOPLE NEVER TO DEAL WITH AGAIN...
Jim Holden
PS: I have ordered up another quantity of white polo shirts and the black windbreakers inasmuch as they pretty much sold out at Carlisle.
PPS: I have spoken to my potential source for a quote etc. on the windshield decal. I will know more in a day or so.

I think we can handle that...
Jim
Are you suggesting that I did not send enough money? How dare you? I will buy the first two or three rounds of drinks at DVSFII.
Wait, I think I will just pay the shipping and get it over with. It may be cheaper on the long run.
Will you please light a fire under our mutual friend and ask him to call DV!! Please, I don't want people to think I have flakey friends.

Flakey friends?
Gee, if you're afraid that word may get out, I better not drag PEPI out to Ohio. That'll only confirm that indeed you do have flakey friends.
Jim
PS: Sorry too late. I pick the libation option. Money cannot solve your problem now.
