foggy lenses
Just this Saturday morning, backing my S/W gauged ERA 289 out of the garage, brite sun, clear, DRY...only the FUEL gauge has a cloud of vapor on the center of the lense.
The other gauges are clear...they always are...the FUEL guage is always cloudy in the AM, maybe other times but I'm not recording data points here.
Assuming they are all open to the world due to the hole for the light bulb...is there a peculiar lubricant used in a fuel gauge mechanism that gasses off, leaves a residue on the lense and you see condensation?...cause otherwise all the gauges should be as foggy as each other...common thread seems to be FUEL gauge...my buddy Robert's ERA 427 fuel gauge does the same thing...but ONLY the fuel gauge...go figure.
