Bob: Could you tell me what is the Bosch part number for the headlight relay you use on your cars?

Thank You

Default What Flasher?

Thank you Bob. On page 5 of the wiring booklet are the headlight relay & flasher mounted next to each other on the bracket along with the fuses below? Can a #550 Flasher be utilized or is ther another number that is specific to the install? The one in the drawing appears to be square in lieu of the more traditional round can type?.

Thanks again for your assistance

Rick

Rick,

You can try another brand 3-pronged relay. They're pretty universal - but some work better than others with the relay board, that's all.

Smile Headlight relay question??

Is there a plastic plug that can be used to mount and mate with the headlight relay? (5 wires) Or are the individual wires attached to it without utilizing a plug?

...........Rick

Thanks Bob ............You da' man

Rick,

Unfortunately, the only socket I know of is built into the VW fuse/relay module. About $100. Even we won't throw that much money away.

That's why we supply a harness and have a place to mount the relay on the trailer relay/flasher plate.

Bob -

Can you please give me the part number and supplier of the "trailer relay" that you use?

Thanks,

Jeff Burgy

Jeff,

We buy the relays wholesale from Del City but you should be able to get something equally effective locally - from an auto supply or someone who services/rents trailers. It must be made to adapt a car with separate brake and turn signals to a trailer with a shared turn/signal filament.
