Vacume Advance Dist with ERA Expansion Tank

I have ordered an ERA expansion tank for an FE with my kit. Does it pose any limitation on the distributor? IE. is there room for a vacume advance can on it, or do I need to stick with mechanical advance distributors only? Hopefully this is just a myth / folklore / urban legend but I have heard something to that effect

You can usually orient the vacuum advance toward the back of the engine, so it shouldn't be a problem. The maximum diameter of the distributor cap (not including wire boots) can be 3.7" without having to space the expansion tank forward.
