Default Power Steering assist

I know a couple of people had steering assist installed on your ERA,s. How do you like? I am having a 427 SO built by ERA and am considering this option.
Would like to hear some input.
Regards,
MRUD

Default P/S steering

MRUD I love mine. It's a great idea. Bob P. engineered mine and Head builder Doug made it fit and works great. Thanks to both. Peter P. is still debaiting it. Right Pete. Works for me. I spelled debate the right way for Pete Rick Lake

Mrud,
I don't think you need power steering, I don't have it.

For the past year or two we've offered a manual steering gear with a little more mechanical advantage (and I think it's got a little less internal friction too...). The lock-to-lock is 3.1 turns as opposed to the old gear's 2.7 turns. Since our turning circle is quite small, it doesn't feel slow at all. Except for zero-speed parking maneuvers, it's very light. The only time I might recommend assisted steering is for someone doing Solo Events (with the quicker ratio) and who doesn't have my upper body strength.
