TampaFla,
One of our guys"Club Cranky Member" owns an ERA FIA track car that sometimes is used by ERA for display purposes. He will be running the car May 20,21 at Beaverun PA and "may" if needed, be droping it off at Carlisle on the way back to LI.
I can't imagine ERA not being at Carlisle.

I hate to bother the people at ERA (on the "waiting list" and don't want to be a "pest.")
If I knew for sure they were going, I'd put the dogs in a kennel and start looking for a motel up there, but I don't.....only have the word from Carlisle that they aren't...

Bob Putnam (ERA) says the info I got from Carlisle is wrong. ERA will be there.
Wonder what the chances are that I can get my cancelled reservations reinstated.

Tampa etal:
For the record: ERA will be going to Carlisle. We will be taking five cars from New Britain and PEPI is bribing a customer to take a car or two more. How do I know? Because the five cars from New Britain are going in my trailers. I will be driving one of the trucks as I have done each year for as long as the Kit Car Show has been in existence. We will be there. There will be a show. Short of a hurricane (which we have had there) nothing will keep us away. Are we clear about this?
As always, we will be there for breakfast on Friday morning. Come join us.

Jim,
I will be there on Saturday and if all goes to plan early in the morning. Look forward to meeting you and your GT.
Chappy,
Are you going? Where is the baby? Have I missed a thread with some announcement?

Jamie-
You haven't missed a thing, no baby yet If it doesn't come before Sunday, the wife will be induced on Monday. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be making Carlisle this year.
But I've laid the ground work for the Cobra Revolution in June and should make that.

Lets see.
Baby on Monday.
Home Wednesday / Thursday.
You won't be baby trained to help by Saturday.
Might as well take a quick day trip to Carlisle.
Seriously -- Good luck with everything. Make sure you bring a camera into the delivery room. Most hospitals will allow a camera but not video.
Some of my favorite pictures of my son are the moment after he was born. Cleaned up of course.

Jim Holden,
Hope you take some pictures and post them. Probably too late for me to reinstate my reservations to go. Already decided on an ERA anyway and won't miss the 32 hrs. of driving up & back. Really was hoping to go a few months back until the Carlisle people said no Cobras. Maybe next year I'll know not to listen to them....

Tampa:
Sorry that the folks answering the phones at Carlisle got confused on just what this show is all about. It's not import kit car show, but rather imports and kit car show.
So just when is your FIA due to see the light of day?
JW:
My GT is at the paint shop, so I'm taking my FIA. We will also take (so I am given to understand) Jose Velez's GT which is being finished by the elves up at ERA as we er... type. Left hand drive, done up to look like one of the Gulf GTs with big power brakes and a 350 ci motor.
Jim
PS: I even got a call last night at 10:30 from Fran ("Sure it's an original wing-nut") Kress saying, "Jim you're all over the internet. Is the show still on?" Yes Fran, the show is still on!

Jim Holden Gald to see your happy again Can always tell when that time of year is here. Watch out for the deer, take a couple of power naps, if you have any of the XL winter jackets, bring one. It will be nice to see your smiling face. Get Wan Valdez to trim the bush. See you soon Rick Lake

Rick:
You're right about the deer. We take the I84, I81 to I78 route. It's a bit longer (say 20-30 miles) but far more scenic. It also avoids the usual construction mess and traffic issues around metro NYC.
One year as we came through northern PA before the turn south at Scranton, I swear we drove through a tornado; trailers were bouncing all over the place. Let's hope for clear, calm, weather.
See you there? Carlisle 500 Friday evening?
Jim
PS: And PEPI has not cut the mustache...

Rick:
No jackets at the moment. If there is any demand (say for a total of a dozen or so) I'll order some for next fall.
