..and here's Jack Rathke's beautiful (and brutal) ERA #576 out for a photo shoot. Jack has "cloned" CSX3022 to the point that when he sent in an application for SAAC29, they thought it was the original car:

Tim Achenbach has another ERAGT going together, so he brought his current one out. Another "serial ERA repeat offender"!

EX:
I put these pictures of the cars displayed by ERA here because I didn't want to give anyone the impression that there was any pretense of including or excluding anyone else...

The "Unique referrence" is kind of an inside "Gashole" joke.

Beautiful
Jim, great looking car! Love the wheels!
I'm interested in purchasing a set of racing tires and I wanted those Goodyear "blue lines" are they still available? And what are the sizes your using? thanks

Peter told me he was building a "street car".
Peter told me he was building a "street car" like mine but with sunburst wheels. Pretty cool!

tyfaim:
Try Roger Kraus Tires http://www.rogerkraustires.com/ or Sasco http://www.sascosports.com/ for the tires. They both carry "Cobra" Goodyear sizes.
As to the "Blue streak", I put the blue on with a marking paint pen...
Jim
PS: I don't recall the size of the tires and the car is in the trailer up in CT., with the idea that we will turn around and go back to Carlisle for the Ford show next weekend.

Well guess I missed the fun, but that's what happens to tyros when they get bad info (got an apology from the people at Carlisle "no Cobras" was incorrect). Next year, I'll know better. Maybe they'll change the ad & delete "Import."

Jim,
Are you sure that's Joe's 142 in the Photo. A car that looks just like that was at BeaveRun last Thurs and Fri. and boy was it filthy. Joe said he was gonna take it to Carlisle on Sat. with all the track grunge and rubber build up. Looked just like a REAL racer not some show queen all dolled up for a photo shoot. I know Joe would not clean up his car for a show so it must be a different 142.

Sunburst Wheels
...and here is a side view showing the "Sunburst" wheels (actually on the "clone" car. #3252 is just beyond).

Cranky:
I can't swear to the fact that it's the same 142 that was at BR, after all, I wasn't there. I did overhear F1Joe swearing, muttering something about the fact that Peter wouldn't let him park in the display until he cleaned his car up.
