Were you here on vacation or work related? And yes, Summers are great, daylight at 1am, winters are not so great. I look forward to eventually living someplace where its not cold 7 months out of the year!

It was completely vaction. We put on about 2500 mile in a week. We visited Jueau, hope, Talkeetna, Denali, Long Riffle lodge, Homer, anchorage, not all in that order & about a hundred other places I can't think of right now. My buddy & I vowed to visit again soon. We had a great time!

Will Do! That was one of my favorite spots, the glacier walk was a long awaited dream fulfilled. Simply awsome! Archangel valley was also one of our fav's. It may be another year or two before we both have the time but we want to fly into a remote cabin for a few days & put some more miles on hopefully get more than a week next time.

Hello everybody from a new guy.Ive looked at them all & think the era is best.I had mine painted on the east coast by tony stefan in ma [tony's Auto] $5200 and worth every penny, which added about 6 weeks but was well worth the wait.

Very nice! When Viewing the picture there is an address box below it that has the address in it. if you highlight that address & hit the ctrl+C buttons at the same time it will copy it. Then post it into the body of your message by pressing the ctrl+V buttons at the same time.

So....this one really stood out in the shop because as you moved around, it.... it.... will change color and shadows tones. The body seemed to flex and move...like it was alive! Very different!.....So......how much was the paint? I'm sure I can't afford it ......but have to ask.... I know I'm going to be stuck in gel coat for a long time. mike

Jack, Thanks for the pics, of course you know you're making the wait harder. Please tell me these photos are a few weeks old, this car is supposed to be nearing completion. 289ERAkit, the color came from a Saleen Ford Focus that was at the local dealership. I can't remember the code but I think its just a standard Ford color. If you want I can get the code again. The paint was done by by ERAs painter Tony. The cost was $5300.00 which included the centers of the wheels painted black. I am really looking forward to seeing it in person.

Sorry, they were taken Friday AM. Talk to Peter and see where you are in the schedule. And then keep calling. I will send more pictures as I seem to be there once a week. It is really beautiful color combo.

Well, thanks again for the photos. Its a huge lift to actually see it and I suppose the longer it takes.... the easier it is to afford.

Hey mtr. I saw your car Thursday...very striking paint job...it was in the corner. Doug said that this past year they built more Cobras than ever. If it makes you feel better, two or three of them look to be almost finished...I remember your car a few weeks ago before it went to Tony's...looking forlorn in the front of the shop. It sure came a long way in just a few short weeks. It must be tough being so far away and not being able to monitor the build. Don't worry, they do everything the right way the first time around. I'll be sure to take a couple of pics whenever I stop by...usually once every week or two.
I just discovered a huge blunder I made last year when I bought a used XJS rear end assy. After just tearing it down and getting the center section in the degreaser, I found the gear ratio to be 2.88:1, just not acceptable. Too late to call the seller...I just gotta find a 3.31 ring and pinion. Oh well, such is life.

Actually, the cars I saw were in the main shop...if yours is not ready for paint, it must still be in the fab shop.

Zoera:

If you go with a Richmond Gear five speed, the 2.88 will work very well. Fifth gear is one to one. The intermediate gears (1-4) work out very close to a four speed w/ 3:54 rear gear. I had the combination in one of my cars and it was ideal on the street with a 428 CJ motor. When I sold the car the buyer changed the motor to a 427 and said he was going to change the rear. But when I checked with him later he said that he hadn't made the change because the combo worked very well.

Jim.
Thanks for the info...I just got finished spending 800.00 + on a rebuild and large spline upgrade to my toploader. What kind of bucks is a Richmond 5spd? I know my T/L is worth 1000.00/1200.00 as it sits now with 0 miles. It may cost that much for the rear upgrade.
