Hi Kristen,
You bring up a few good points.

I don't see any need for a forum. We already have that here and there's no reason to re-invent the wheel. As far as contact information, I see a first initial and name as being optional. Certainly no street addresses on the net.

After the registry is completed, a hard copy mailed to all owners maybe? Periodic quarterly updates to catch sales and new members?

I see as being a clone of the SAAC site and operation. Feed in from owners on area shows and comp events. Organizing ERA paddocks and parking areas at major race events. (these are great excuses for get togethers and general cocktailing) A unique company store and products. I think we could operate the store as basically a non-profit with revenue going to several ERA "regional" get-togethers. Maybe everyone storms London next year? I'm in Florida so attending some events is a major trek. I also think we need a little "Board of Directors" from the various regions for input.

It would be nice to have our own registry just to see what members ordered on their cars and compare notes as well as get togethers, etc.. I am fond of Morgan Cars and they have chapters all over the place with get togethers,etc.. Kinda fun don't ya think?

I'm in too, who is going to spearhead it?
YOU!!!! (hehehe. that's for 'ackfia' - if you ask, you get it! )

redesprit- are you writing these down as they get posted??
It would be a simple task to write down the names/numbers as they are posted here. This probably wouldn't be but a drop in the bucket, but it's a start. Or.... do you want a private message with more information??

or.... an email off of CC to post info to??
lots of ways to do this.

take your pick; it's your idea, take it and run with it!
the ERA forum HERE is a good place to chat and get information. What about a thread or two about our cars, plans, meets and any other information as it comes up??
I think the idea of a 'chat' forum friendship sounds nice.
On the ERA WEBSITE, is there a place to chat or place comments, etc?
I don't remember one, but just don't know, as i don't go to their website very often.
I know that Unique has a 'homecoming' thing, I believe Superformance has one, too, and of course the Kirkham summit in Utah.

so.... we are awfully spread out, that's a problem.
how can we get more unified as an owner's group??

Kristen

We'll build a form field at the www.eraregistry site that will send email info to me. I'll post when the form is ready. Keep the responses of interest coming in. We'll do the Field of Dreams thing..."Build it,and they will come" I'll play Kevin Costner
