Default ERA Registry Open For Business

OK...we're definately in business. Site is formatted (barely populated) but time to get your ERA in the registry. Let other owners and prospective builders know who and where you are. List events in your area. We will be working on this site over the next few weeks and populating the pages.

Keep the ideas coming. I've thrown some basic ideas out on some of the pages. Start sending info to make the site informational to current and prospective owners. www.eraregistry.com We also need some GREAT pics for the gallery. Got a favorite? I'll show you mine if you show me yours

I'm currently working on the first product for the company store. Genuine Portante Mustache Wax...$7.99 plus shipping

Hello Bob,

A link on the ERA site would be great. We'll keep working on the site and "fill in the cracks" over the next few weeks. Probably be bugging you for pics of "The Works" and the "Cast of Characters".

Thanks,

Bob McMahon

Question: Is that an ERA patch that was used in the upper left-hand corner of the web page for the regestry ? If so, how would I be able to get a couple ? Site looks good and in the next few days, I will populate with my info.

That's a photograph of a sign we used to take on our show excursions. (Notice the lack of an "s" on Automobiles...)

As far as I know, we've never had a patch, but that's not a bad idea. There are a couple high-definition logos at the bottom of of this page

Bob, maybe someone with "pull" can get Peter to allow a run of the patches for only ERA owners. I know I'd wear mine with pride. Could this be suggested on the registry site to see how many would entertain buying one ?

I like it. Two things:

First, security. How secure is the data that goes into the registry? If someone hacks the site they're know where I live.

Second, I'd like to see a parts exchange for cash/trade. "I need/I've got" sort of thing.

This is the first site that I picked from a quick search. My guess is that 2" or 2.5" might be the best size for our logo. About $1 each in quantities of 200, which is not bad at all.

If we can determine a size preference, I'll request a formal quote.

Red, etal:

We used to do shirts with the logo as shown on the patch. The logo evolved (deleted the outer "ring") and then we (a couple of the customers) developed the "winners flag" logo. When I made a pilgrimage up to the shop on Saturday to check on some projects and dance with Yosemite Sam (a/k/a Peter) we spoke about the annual trek to Lime Rock for the Labor Day weekend Vintage Races and the need to order more golf shirts.

Frankly, I'm not set up to "mechanize", but if folks were going to be at Lime Rock to pick up the shirts, I'd order your size. I haven't checked on price, but in the past they've been approx. $35.00. We have generally purchased only a doz. or so at the time so we haven't gotten any big price break.

Jim

PS: The patch should be still in the computers at the shirt supplier... although it's been 15 years or so since that logo was used.

i registered, but not sure what to do now.
redes.- you have my car listed on the original list, but my town is 'Sunnyvale' not 'Sunnyville'. Can you fix that?
How do we change things?
I don't put my last name anywhere; just first and last initial. That a problem?
Anybody can read all the info?? anything secure? links gonna work??
will there be a 'chat' - like 'here on cc'? or a forum I guess it is.

I want a patch, please! I'd LOVE a decal for my trailer, while we're talking.
any more questions i'll be sure to ask.
Kristen B.

Red,

Interested to hear your answer regarding the security comments. Also, how do you update your "profile"? I had put some information in, but must have did something wrong as it shows up as "under construction".

Overall - Thank you. I think it would be a good idea to also be able to may put "you tube" videos on different aspects of the build process.

Hello all,

Kramer...regarding the security issue, the registry has no database with addresses and full names so hacking isn't an issue. I'm keeping a paper hard file of forms printed. For those that send in their fullnames, you'll notice that I only am using first initials. The form field that you complete doesn't even have full address information so....

Emails are posted so members can easily contact each other. If you do not supply your email in the form field, however, I do not post it in the site. In other words I don't glean it from the email address of your submission.

The actual temporary registry that you see will disappear shortly as the properly formatted registry is being populated behing the scenes of the site. The registry seperates members by geographic region, allows visitors to click on your vehicle ID and view a photo of your car in the gallery, and also contains a lost and found area that documents cars found and those we're still searching for.

Any pictures / comments you have simply send to redesprit@aol.com. Any corrections simple send me an email. A lot going on behind the scenes on the site. It will look quite different shortly. Keep those cards and letters coming.

Dangerous Doug...good idea. I'll set it up.

Hey Little, already fixed the Sunnyvale issue on the perm pages. See new format here. http://www.eraregistry.com/southcentral.htm

As far as chat, I think we probably have that here and I just don't know how active it would be on the Registry. If everyone wanted it, my 'techies" could provide it. I'll leave it up to the masses.

I will be in Chicago doing some broker training over the weekend but will try to have all the new pages up by Thursday before I leave.

Bob, I think the 2.5 - 3" size would be best as a sew-on patch. However, if this new logo is going to be applied to sportswear, then 2-2.5" would be good. I also agree with "Hey, littlecobra, in that a decal would be nice too. Opinions ?
