428 Street. FANTASTIC!! My car - FIA #2117 - Mystic Blue - was returned from Tony's to ERA a week ago. A photo would be great!!! My Keith Craft 331 Stroker is also there - most likely still crated - but a photo of the Mystic Blue paint job would be tremendous. Thanks, Rick Durkin, Miami, FL.

Default 428 Street.. if you can take a picture of #2114.

Viking blue with yellow stripe. It's a roller that should be almost done. Thanks.

How about a picture of Peter P. doing what he does best... eating a meatball grinder with hot peppers.

Default Yes please!

428St, #745 is the only silver with red stripes in the pit. If you have a chance to photo the engine bay and cockpit, I'd appreciate it! I can see what progress is being made from that, I think .. front suspension, radiator, panel, that sort of thing.

I am going to have to take the car minus the rear suspension, since my 3.31 pumpkin didn't get ordered with the last batch. Then they will ship me the rear assembly later. That way I can do motor, tranny, wiring, etc. and not be held up.

428

I was in the emerald city of New Britain yesterday afternoon to visit the wizard (you know, the one behind the curtain) and must have just missed you. I got there about 3:00 p.m.. Peter commented that you had been there and had a list of cars to be photographed... Did you make it up to the R&D shop? I do know they were delivering out an ERAGT. So as usual there was a lot going on.

Jim:

I was fortunate enough to go to the R & D shop. I was like a kid in a candy store. Wow, that place is awesome! Especially the 40 in the rear...what a treat to just touch it.

I can say two things.

1. Everyone down there is just incredibly nice and pleasant. One just as nice as the next.

2. Peter is a coocoo bird. The stories, his expressions, etc. are priceless. There is a sitcom there in some form or another.

Everytime I go there I am more and more happier I bought a car from ERA.

JW:

If you are motivated to go up, I will be taking "Mad Max"* up to the R&D shop for a little "going over" by LJ and Ted before we head to Pocono in September.

Lunch?

Jim

*my Faux Racing Team Mustang, so named by my wife (who has named all of our cars), who before she saw the Mustang was calling it "Mustang Sally". When she laid eyes on it, she said "Oh, no, Mad Max."

JW:

The plan is to load Mad Max at about 8:00 am at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Pleasantville and head north as soon as we are packed up... probably to arrive by 10:30 or so.

Lunch is always dependent upon when the wizard can break free from the incessant demands of his supply sergeant desk.

Asking the wife tonight would not be wise for long-term happiness.

I thought I might be able to squeeze it in, but not likely.

Have a great time and now there will be more food for all.

You are lucky. I have purchased 3 cars at ERA and my car is at the R&D shop and visit ERA 3 times a year without ever been invited to the R&D Shop or the Toy Shop. Even a wheel of my car was loaned to a customer and never saw my car on jacks. Peter is a lot of fun and all you have to do to start a story is to ask about his son racing. He is a child in a very old body (I am lucky he does not know how to use a computer)
