Default Going to ERA 10/26-anybody need pic's?

Peter says my chassis should be on the jig next week and I want to take photos of its birth. If anybody wants shots of their car in progress, just let me know. Not a great photographer by any means, but I can push the little button with the best of them.

Xracerbob,

Have some fun with Peter and the gang. Make sure you get some lunch of the food truck that comes by...a wonderful downhome sophistication these folks have. I wish I lived closer just to stop by once in a while and learn from them.

YES, please look for 427s/c chassis #755 . Hopefully it is back from powdercoat and in the process of having the body bonded.
Thanks

Smile ERA Visit

Same comment as the Godfather . If you could look for chassis 757 , a 427sc that is supposed to be back from the powdercoaters this week , it would be greatly appreciated !!
Be carefull on volunteering as you may spend most of your time looking at other people`s chassis/cars !
Peter and the guys are great to work with . I visited them in early spring before ordering my car .

Thanks

Racerbob!! Yes sir. FIA#2117 Mystic Blue (sort of a navy blue - no stripes), is being assembled. Has interior aluminum panels installed, foot boxes, front and rear bumpers, and headlights & tail lights, along with front suspension. A current photo would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Rick Durkin

Come on, that's half the fun of going up there! It's kind of like going to a jewelry store with really HUGE gems. Of course there is always the "entertainment" that is always on stage (in the office) there.

XRacerbob .... just a thought . You will be in easy driving distance from the two paint and body shops Peter at ERA usually recommends . One is CT Custom Car in Enfield and Tony in MA . Might be worth a short drive , unless you already have someone picked out where you live .
I decided to let CCC do my car .

I think Bobcat has a great suggestion there. Getting to know the painter(s) is a great idea! I highly recommend it.

PS...i had CCC do mine as well...they are about 30 mins from ERA.

Don't need any pics but take a stick...any stick, and hit Peter on the head with that stick until you see him actually put an invoice and ID plate in an envelope and send it to me.

I'll make a checklist with chassis numbers so I don't forget anyone's pictures. Also need to remember the motivational tool mentioned by Red Esprit.

Regarding painters, I am going to visit Ron Randall at Metalmorphus as long as I have time. They are about 20 minutes from ERA and have one car in house now. Since I'm only 1.5 hrs away, I will try and check out Tony and CCC as well before I have to make the choice. I'm sure I'll have plenty of time .

John:

Over the years I've, from time to time, tried the ball peen hammer routine on Peter... and it doesn't make a dent. Head too hard...

Since a ball peen hammer won`t work .... bounces back ??? Maybe a lead spinner/knockoff hammer will be better ?

Post a picture of Peter, Doug, Jack, and maybe Bob as well. They deserve the recognition. Great guys!

I second that request. Include a pic of the Roach Coach as well.
