That's Fred's car. That will be one stunning ERA when finished. Mine's at MM as well getting prepped for paint. Can't wait to see the final results.

ERA in Progress
Thanks everyone for the nice comments! Ron deserves all of the credit here. He has really done a fantastic job with the paint and body work on my ERA. He's also been a great source of advise on how to approach all aspects for the project.

Georgeous
That is a beautiful car and we know the quality of ERA.
Wish mine looked that pretty! I will just have to live my ole Viper blue B&B for awhile, complete with 7 years of race track petina.

Pat,
Keith Craft built the engine for me. It's based on a Shelby Aluminum Block and has been stroked to 482CI. It uses Edlebrock Alum. heads with Keith Craft's Stage 2 porting and a custom ground Hydraulic Roller Camshaft. There's a copy of the complete specs for the engine in my gallery if you are interested. The induction is EFI/TWM and I'm going to use a FAST computer with Electronnic Traction Control. The latter is something new from FAST. A driveshaft speed sensor is installed on the car and the computer can sense when the rear wheels are slipping. When this happens, the computer pulls timming out oif the engine and the cuts fuel off selectively to alternating cylinders to keep the rear wheels from spinningexcessively. Given the torque output of an FE in a light car like the Cobra, I think this will be just the ticket. Attached is the dyno sheet and some more pcitures of the engine. You can email me at fkemmerer@anita-fred.net if you'd like some more information.

Jeez, that's "rocket ship" technology compared to mine. Absolutely gorgeous -- we'll all be interested in a road test report on how that traction control system performs as well.

The FIA looks a shade lighter Bob but a very nice color. Hey I attached a picture for Peter, he has been very patient I should be finished with it next week.

Its a Chrysler Red color that has been tweaked a bit. Ron can give you the specifics if you want them.
