Pad Replacement on Outboard Braked Rear
Bob, on my ERA outboard rear with the Camaro PBR calipers that have the integrated emergency brake, pictured below, does pad replacement require the tool that rotates the piston back in to the caliper when compressing, or will a simple tried and true C-clamp and block of wood suffice to compress the piston?

Blush... :confused: I don't know. I'll take a look at a caliper tomorrow morning. Maybe there's something obvious.

Still ambiguous. There is a spot for a hex key in the middle of the piston but I'm not sure its function.
The caliper is very similar to the 88-94 Corvette, so that might help. I've Googled the subject to death though, even searching through the Corvette forum. If those guys can figure it out, it must not be too hard. :LOL:

Well dang, I feel like I just played "Stump the Band" and won. %/ Anyone else out there happen to have a 88-94 Corvette and changed out their rear pads? Or perhaps your brother-in-law is the service manager at the local Chevrolet dealer?
