Fuse block covers?
My buddy was over the other night helping me with my build, he has an ERA FIA and we were discussing idea's about how to create a cover that would go over the two black fuse blocks on the firewall.
Before we try to reinvent the wheel does anyone know if there is a solution or someone has come up with their own solution.
I'd love to see something like the original covers. I have an NOS Lucas black fuse block from my old TR6 that I saved but I really don't want to go monkeying around and changing things.
Just wondering what if anything anyone else has done. I assume I can't be the first person with an ERA that has this thought.
Thanks in advance.

Wanna bet? You don't need a cover over your fuse panel. You don't need a cover over the terminals on your solenoid, starter motor, battery, coil, or alternator either. And besides, t looks better without one....

To each his own, I just think it's a rough look and certainly not an original look.

I've got a bunch of these that I never pushed because I wanted to powdercoat them black. Didn't get around to it. You can have it now in raw aluminum or wait for the powdercoat. It's sized to use a 1/2 grommet in the top where the wires go through. I might even have a proper stud and knob hiding around...

Bob:
Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you, I'll take (4). I'll talk to Peter on price. I'd love to have someone scribe in the Lucas script like the old ones have but I can do that on my own.
Thanks again.

For my 2 cents, I bought my ERA for its accuracy to the original. Anything that the "works" offers that adds to "the experience" I'm all for. Now Bob, after the fuse block project, how about some Sunburst wheels?

Red:
I just picked up a set of 5 Sunburst after a long time searching.
They are out there, they are expensive but if you're building a street car you have to have them.
There was a set on ebay for the last two weeks with a BIN of 8k. There is a set someone is selling for 10k in the SAAC newsletter for 10k. I think this guy is also reproing them as I spoke to him at length. The repro's I think he wanted $7,500.
If you need any more info send me a PM.

Frank,
I think you need longer rear control arms to compensate for the different offset of the Sunbursts. Look into it.
