Default seatbelts for the ERA

I didn't order seat belts for the car and was shopping Jegs online. Can someone tell me if these will work ok for the ERA?

Also, I have talked to my mentor Sammmy but was wondering from others about the door latches. I understand the shimming part, but was wondering if you are supposed to mount the latch plates on top of the carpet or cut the carpet out of the way. (I mounted mine on top of the carpet but b/c it is so thick there is no room to put shims unless I get longer bolts).

Kramer.

Kramer:
They'll work but it may be more convenient to get the anchor points for the lap straps in the snap hook type and just use a ring in the floor mount. The shoulder straps will bolt right in.

Don is correct......they will work but the anchor type would be easier. If you are not going to use the car on the track (tech inspection) you might look for belts that have older dates on the production tags......the companies really discount them because they are going to expire.

Top of the carpet is correct for the door latch mounts ...

I need new seatbelts as well but I'm looking for the standard/vintage type lap belt.

I put these same Simpson belts in my car recently. They bolt right in, including the lap belts. Check my gallery, I just put up a pic of the seats & belts.
I also left the carpet behind the door latches...it seems to be fine.

For such a great car go with Ray Brown:

Get the seat belts from ERA. They are $250 a pair with shoulder belts and all hardware and they look just like the ones from Ray Brown. When you order them also get the door latch pull straps, about $20, you will be glad you did.
