ERA going to SAAC Convention
Folks:
We have rounded up the usual suspects and have reserved a couple of rooms at a local motel (it has a two turban rating), and have every good intention of making the trek down to Jersey to the SAAC Convention next week.
While there may otherwise be a dearth of "ancient pilots" to glad hand the assembled masses and autograph auto memorabilia thrust at them by their adoring fans, Peter E. ("Downhill Pete") Portante will make himself available after his afternoon nap each day for an autograph session. Bring your glove box doors... In lieu of donations to his heart fund, he will accept a meatball grinder...

Will he be dressed as the Wizzard of OZ? Are you going to have a display or booth set up? I plan on attending Sunday, see you then.

No, but you will recognize him by his "mutton chop" mustache.

If anyone out there is taking an ERA big block car to the convention, let us know.

Will those guys throw eggs at an ERA big block? Maybe we'll have egg salad sandwiches!
