Best way to remove contact cement

I was a little crazy with the contact cement. Whats the best way to clean it up? I have the contact cement from ERA - the green stuff.

Try laquer thinner.

We use 3M Glue and Adhesive Remover. It should be available at an upholstery shop.

is true . Lacquer thinner will also remove/damage your paint ! I have used the 3 M Adhesive Remover he referred you to and it works and will not hurt your paint . I had the NAPA store get mine for me .

Most any auto parts store carries the 3M adhesive remover in stock

I've used one of those big eraser kinda things. They sell them for cleaning sanding belts. Depending on the surface, they're faster and safer then a solvent.

You have to test first if you use any solvent. Nail polish remover is great for removing stuff ... and stuff you do NOT want removed.

Naptha or mineral spirits will loosen it right up and not hurt your paint.

WD40 will also work but it does leave a film behind.
