The one on the left is for the fuel pump, the right is for the radiator fan.

These guys are too much!
I have a bunch of pics to post, but only time right now for a couple.
Here is the dash installed in the car; I couldn't be happier:
You'll notice that there is no gas level gauge: the comp cars did not have one. I intended to just use a stick, but Doug had a surprise for me: he put a fuel level gauge in the glove box!!!! What a joy working with this team.

Jeff,
The dash looks awesome and hiding a gas gauge in the glove box … now that is an excellent idea. It's lot more convenient than using a stick, those guys are good!
It will be very interesting to see how the rest of the car comes together … keep us posted

Yes; the frame has been bonded to the body.

Coming together very nicely ... is that the Kirkey 41V seat with their vinyl cover?
What seat will you use on the passenger side, Krikey, ERA FIA or ERA street?

Yep, that's the Kirkey and I will have a ERA street seat on the passenger side. The dash, the passenger seat and the side pockets are leather. The footboxes have carpeting and I will have snap-in carpet on the floor. The rest of the cockpit will be bare aluminum.

Jim Inglese is finished rebuilding my Webers and replacing the intake manifold. Here are two pictures of it just sitting on the engine block so Jim can take measurements for the throttle linkage. Next, the engine goes back to Dan Delena so he can mate the new manifold to the block and replace the painted valve covers with silver ceramic coated ones. Then back into the car and, hopefully, road testing before too long. I really like the period fittings and fuel lines Jim sourced, which wasn't easy! Can't wait to fire it up!
The stainless switch in the foreground of this picture is a flow regulator to the oil cooler. I expect that most times I'll have it completely shut-off in order to keep the engine heat up.
I also have new stacks and screens coming from MacTrumpet in Germany. They look really cool.

I guess I missed it, but I thought this was a brand new engine... why rebuild the carbs and replace the intake? A few pages back ??

It was brand new and completed more than a year ago. The Weber set-up and intake manifold were from Inglese Induction Systems, now owned by Comp Cams. In the meantime, Jim Inglese, the founder of Inglese Induction Systems who sold it many years ago, went back into business for himself and, after talking with him, I decided to have him rebuild the Webers to his specs. That involved replacing just about everything but the carbs themselves.
The biggest worry with Webers is that you'll never get them tuned right. Jim Inglese is the acknowledged master and it was a no-brainer to have him rebuild them. He is also close enough to ERA that he will be able to do the final tuning once the engine is reassembled and back in the car.
Replacing the intake manifold wasn't necessary, but, since I was going through all this, I decided to change to the original style "COBRA" dual outlet just for looks (that piece isn't attached yet in the above pictures). Hadn't really thought it through the first time.
